Chairperson Nirpendra Mishra of the Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee announced that the idol of Ram Lalla was successfully brought into the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday evening, with plans for installation on Thursday. The idol, weighing between 150 and 200 kg, crafted in black stone by Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj, arrived in a truck during an evening procession.

Preparations for the consecration ceremony on January 22 are in full swing at the Ram Temple. A Kalash Pujan took place on Wednesday, and the rituals are set to continue until January 21. On the day of consecration, January 22, essential rituals for the Pran Pratishta of the Ram Lalla will be performed, led by 121 acharyas. The Pran Pratishta is scheduled to take place from 12:20 p.m. to 1 p.m.

With only five days left, Anil Mishra and his wife Usha, members of the Ram Janmabhoomi Theertha Kshetra Trust, initiated a series of rites leading up to the January 22 consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

The final stage involves the consecration, or Pran Pratishta, of the Ram Lalla idol at the newly constructed Ayodhya temple. Anil Mishra and Usha Mishra are the Yajman, overseeing the rituals, including the opening ceremony performed in the days leading to the final consecration.

Following this, Anil Mishra conducted an approximately eight-hour-long Prashchita, Sankalp, and Karmukti puja at the location where sculptor Arun Yogiraj created the Ram Lalla idol for the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.

After the consecration ritual, expected to be attended by around 8,000 guests, Prime Minister Modi is set to deliver a speech. However, only a select few will be allowed entry into the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. Three out of the seven adivasis involved in the Prana Pratishta are currently in practice. The anusthan is being conducted by 121 acharyas, supervised by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, guiding each step of the way.

Throughout the following week, various rituals such as asteerath poojan, Jal Yatra, and gandhadhivas will take place. According to temple trust general secretary Champat Rai, the Ram temple’s pran pratishta is scheduled to start at 12:20 p.m.

on January 22 and conclude by 1 p.m. The Trust’s published schedule outlines the completion of the idol’s parisar Parvesh on January 17, followed by teerath poojanm, Jal Yatra, and gandhdhivas on January 18, and aushadhadhivas, kesesaradhivas, ghritadhivas, and dhanyadhivas on January 19.
