Prime Minister Inaugurates Sindri Fertilizer Plant in Jharkhand

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Sindri Fertilizer Plant in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Following the inauguration, he will address a public gathering in Dhanbad and kick off Jharkhand’s Lok Sabha election campaign with a rally in Barwadda.

Beginning today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day tour, covering Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar. His first stop is Sindri, Dhanbad, in Jharkhand, where he will officially launch development projects worth 35,700 crore rupees in the coal, railways, power, and fertilizer sectors, laying foundation stones as well.

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited (HURL) Fertilizer Plant in Sindri, representing an investment of over 8900 crore rupees. This project is expected to boost the country’s domestic urea production by approximately 12.7 LMT annually, making it the third restarted fertilizer plant in the nation after Gorakhpur and Ramagundam.

In addition to the fertilizer plant, the Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate and lay foundation stones for railway projects valued at over 17,600 crore rupees. These include railway lines connecting various locations, and he will activate three trains during the event.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will pledge support for significant power projects, including the 660 MW initial unit of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) at Chatra, estimated at over Rs 7500 crore, which will enhance the region’s power supply.

Additionally, he will address Jharkhand’s coal industry and participate in a public rally in Barwadda, Dhanbad. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will engage in a public event, launching, dedicating, and laying the foundation for development projects in Arambagh, Hooghly, and West Bengal, with a total investment exceeding 7,200 crore rupees.

Tomorrow, Mr. Modi will travel to Krishnanagar in the Nadia district of West Bengal, dedicating, inaugurating, and laying the foundation for various development projects totaling fifteen thousand crore rupees.
