Jacqueline Fernandez files harassment complaint against Sukesh

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has lodged a complaint against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, an alleged conman, accusing him of threatening and pressuring her from inside jail. The complaint was filed with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, and Jacqueline also shared the letter with the Special Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch). A specialized unit has been summoned to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the matter.

Jacqueline Fernandez’s criticism towards Sukesh Chandrashekhar

In her letter to the police, Jacqueline expressed her distress over being inadvertently involved in a case with significant implications for the rule of law and the judicial system. As a prosecution witness in a case registered by the special cell, she highlighted facing psychological pressure and targeted intimidation campaigns from Sukesh, who is behind bars in Mandoli Jail.

What Jacqueline wrote to the Police 

Jacqueline pleaded with the police commissioner to take prompt action, emphasizing the threat to her safety and the potential compromise of the justice system’s integrity. She urged the registration of an FIR under relevant IPC sections against Sukesh, particularly given her role as a prosecution witness in a case related to the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s money-laundering case

The actress stressed the importance of safeguarding witness protection principles, crucial for the administration of justice, which she believed had been compromised in her case. Jacqueline called for a thorough scrutiny of communication channels available to the accused and the implementation of stringent measures to prevent further abuse.

Notably, Jacqueline had previously filed a petition in December seeking the court’s intervention to prevent Sukesh from sending her letters, messages, or statements. She has been named as a witness in the FIR being investigated by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing concerning a Rs 200 crore extortion and money-laundering case involving Sukesh.
