Goa Stands as an Exemplar of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat' Vision, Declares Prime Minister Modi"

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the cultural harmony of Goa, emphasizing the coexistence of people from various faiths in the region. During the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 program at Betul in South Goa on February 6, Goa CM and Union Minister Shripad Naik garlanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi praise Goa 

Prime Minister Modi expressed his admiration for Goa, stating, “In terms of geographical size, Goa may be small, but in terms of social diversity, it is significant. The people here, representing diverse groups and faiths, have lived together for generations. The consistent choice of BJP by the people of Goa sends a powerful message across the nation. The BJP’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ resonates here,” as reported.

Saturation of schemes in Goa 

Highlighting the state’s achievements, PM Modi praised Goa for achieving 100% saturation in many of the government’s schemes. He termed the saturation of government schemes as “real secularism and social justice.”

“When there is saturation of schemes, societal differences diminish. Every beneficiary receives the full benefit, eliminating the need for bribery. This is true social justice,” remarked Modi, according to reports. He criticized political parties that engage in fearmongering and spreading falsehoods for their own gain.

Historic Lohia Maidan of Goa 

Addressing the historic Lohia Maidan of Goa, Modi acknowledged the state’s resilience against fear-based politics. He commended the people of Goa for their unwavering commitment to the nation.

During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects totaling over ₹1,330 crore in Goa. Notable inaugurations included the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology Goa and the new campus of the National Institute of Watersports.

The National Institute of Technology Goa’s new campus boasts various facilities, such as academic complexes, departmental buildings, seminar complexes, administrative buildings, hostels, a health center, staff quarters, a sports ground, and other utilities catering to students, faculty, and staff.

Meanwhile, the National Institute of Watersports will introduce 28 tailored courses aimed at promoting the development of watersports and water rescue activities for the public and the military.

Conclusion 

In conclusion, addressing a gathering on the ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047’ program, PM Modi highlighted that despite Goa’s small size in terms of area and population, it stands as a rich example of social diversity, embodying the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat.” Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the Passenger Ropeway, along with associated tourism activities, connecting Panaji and Reis Magos.
