Ram Mandir Consecration: Live in the famous Times Square in New York.

The highly anticipated consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, is set to be broadcast live from New York City’s Time Square, as per sources cited by India Today.

The event, marking the ‘Pran-Pratishta’ of Ram Lalla, will be televised at various Indian embassies globally and across all states in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address Rambhakts both in India and abroad on this significant occasion. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced comprehensive nationwide coverage, with big screens being set up at booth levels for live telecasts, as instructed to BJP employees.

Media outlets will have the opportunity to witness the consecration ceremony and receive darshan from Shree Ram Lalla. Vedic rituals for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony are scheduled to commence on January 16, a week before the main event. Sources reveal that Prime Minister Modi is closely monitoring the ceremony’s preparations, seeking specific information on the customs and guidelines to be followed.

Prime Minister Modi has pledged to adhere to all religious customs and traditions in respect of the day. Nripendra Mishra, the head of the Ram temple construction committee, disclosed in an exclusive interview with India Today TV that the Prime Minister has sought guidance from the Ram Mandir trust regarding any specific holy observances to observe before the Pran-Pratishtha.

For the impending ceremony, a carefully chosen 51-inch-tall Krishna Shila idol of Lord Ram will be featured, symbolizing divinity, royalty, and a child’s unadulterated innocence in the dark hue of Shyam Varn. Prior to the Yagopavit Sanskar, the idol will be displayed and eventually placed inside the Garbh Grah on a lotus-shaped platform.

Nripendra Mishra noted that the new Ram Lalla statue will be named “Utsav Ram” and will be positioned alongside the existing one in the new Ram Mandir after January 16. Additionally, on January 22, PM Modi is scheduled to unveil the eye cover of the Lord Ram statue.

In a recent announcement, a senior temple official revealed that elaborate statues of lions, elephants, Lord Hanuman, and Garuda have been placed at the main entrance of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Crafted from sandstone sourced from the Bansi Paharpur region of Rajasthan, these statues adorn the entrance, with visitors ascending 32 steps from the eastern side to reach the main temple.
