Farmers affiliated with the Bhartiya Kisan Union, led by Tikait and BKU Lokshakti, took charge of a tractor march, causing traffic disruptions in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Hapur, and Amroha.
Tractors were strategically parked on highways, particularly NH 58 at Mohiuddinpur in Meerut, leading to significant traffic issues. The Bharatiya Kisan Union urged farmers to join the protest by parking tractors on highways in solidarity with the ongoing protests in Punjab and Haryana.

Tikait, a prominent leader, emphasized that the purpose of the tractor march is to grab the attention of the Narendra Modi government and ensure they acknowledge the farmers’ demands. A program to establish a tractor chain along the highways, especially the divider highway to Delhi, was decided upon to intensify the protest.
During a Sanyukt Morcha meeting in Chandigarh, a six-person committee was formed to engage with farmer organizations unaffiliated with Sanyukt Morcha. Tikait expressed the willingness of any organization to join the Morcha through discussions with the committee. The farmers emphasized their readiness for dialogue with the government and reiterated that they are protesting to facilitate a constructive discussion.
Officials informed the media about anticipated traffic disruptions on the Delhi-Noida border on Monday due to a planned tractor march towards the national capital. The march, led by farmers via the Yamuna Expressway,
Luharli toll plaza, and Mahamaya flyover, prompted the Delhi Police to set up barricades for enhanced border checks. The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police confirmed thorough inspections at every border crossing between Delhi and Noida, with traffic rerouted based on the situation.
