Tragic Demise of Lasya Nanditha, BRS MLA, in Fatal Accident

G Lasya Nanditha, a legislator representing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), met with a tragic accident and lost her life on Friday in the Sangareddy district of Telangana.

The incident occurred on the Sultanpur Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Hyderabad. Nanditha, a BRS MLA, was returning to the city when the Maruti XL6 she was traveling in lost control, crashing into a metal barrier on the expressway’s left end, resulting in her immediate demise.

The driver of the vehicle was critically injured and admitted to a nearby Patancheru private hospital. The fatal collision took place near Sadashivpet when Nanditha’s vehicle collided with a barrier.

About Lasya Nanditha:

Lasya Nanditha, the daughter of the late BRS leader G. Sayanna, entered politics around a decade ago. In November of the previous year, the 36-year-old legislator emerged victorious in the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency, securing the BRS nomination after her father’s passing.

In 2016, Nanditha held the position of Hyderabad’s Kavadiguda Municipal Corporator. However, she resigned from the role in December 2020 following her defeat in the municipal elections.

BRS Leadership’s Response:

Following Nanditha’s untimely death, several prominent BRS leaders paid their respects. BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao expressed condolences, assuring support for Nanditha’s grieving family. Senior BRS leader KT Rama Rao praised Nanditha as a talented future leader, while Revanth Reddy recalled his close ties with her deceased father.

BRS MLC K Kavitha conveyed her sorrow in a letter, expressing shock at Nanditha’s unexpected demise in a traffic accident. The tragic loss of Nanditha, who followed in her father’s footsteps by becoming an MLA at a young age, is deeply saddening, and prayers are offered for her soul’s eternal rest.
