The Assam Baibhav Awards, including Assam Saurav and Assam Gaurav, were presented, with the prestigious Assam Baibhav Award bestowed upon former Chief Justice of India, Justice Ranjan Gogoi. Dhankhar emphasized the significance of these awards, acknowledging outstanding contributions across various fields and expressing appreciation for the diverse and widespread societal impact.

India’s year-long G20 presidency

Addressing the Act East policy initiated in 2014, Dhankhar highlighted its positive outcomes, including significant international events in the North East during India’s G20 presidency. He anticipates a favorable impact on the region’s future due to these developments.

Reflecting on India’s G20 presidency and the 75th Republic Day celebrations, Dhankhar noted the emergence of women’s empowerment, considering it a remarkable achievement and a sign of substantial societal change. He emphasized the responsibility to showcase India’s 5000-year-old culture and guide the world, as the nation’s opinions are now sought after globally.
