MS Dhoni, currently leading the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, will be attending the consecration of the Ram temple alongside Karmaveer Singh, the BJP’s State Organization General Secretary, on January 22. This event has drawn comparisons to invitations extended to other cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Sachin Tendulkar received his invitation at his Mumbai residence on January 13, making him one of the prominent figures expected to attend the historic Ram temple dedication. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is responsible for inviting approximately six thousand people from across the country. Notable attendees will include India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Despite the excitement surrounding the event, Prime Minister Modi has urged “Ram Devotees” not to attend in person on January 22. Instead, he suggests visiting Ayodhya at their convenience after the formal program concludes. This directive emphasizes the importance of public safety during the monumental ceremony.

MS Dhoni, who spent the New Year in Dubai, returned to Ranchi to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League season. The veteran cricketer, recovering from knee injuries that followed the 2023 IPL victory with Chennai Super Kings, expressed his determination to participate in the 2024 season.

The consecration ceremony will witness the participation of sixteen esteemed individuals from Jharkhand, including MS Dhoni, Padma Shri Mukund Nayak, Sudesh Mahto (a prominent BJP leader), and Padma Shri Deepika Kumari (an accomplished archer). Other notable guests expected at the ceremony include cricket legends Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.
