Department Q is an upcoming Netflix series, with Scott Frank as its showrunner. This eight-part television series will be an adaptation of Nordic noir crime novels by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen. Interestingly, the series adaptation for the title has been in development for the last ten years. Moreover, it was revealed in 2020 that Left Bank Pictures, owned by Sony, would be the producer of Department Q.
The series creator, Scott Frank, has previously worked on two Netflix originals, Godless and The Queen’s Gambit.
Besides, his latest work, Monsieur Spade, is airing on AMC. The production banner, Left Bank Pictures, has its name associated with many Netflix original projects like The Crown, White Lines, and Behind Her Eyes.
