Akshay Opens Up: Strengthening Bonds with Shiva After My Mother’s Departure”

Actor Akshay Kumar opened up exclusively to the media on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, revealing his deep connection with Lord Shiva. Kumar, known for his recent role in the song “Shambu” and as a messenger to Lord Shiva in the film OMG2, expressed his emotional journey since losing his mother, crediting Shiva for providing solace and hope amid loss.

Reflecting on his relationship with Lord Shiva, Kumar emphasized the deity’s significance as the embodiment of Yin and Yang, symbolizing the interplay of darkness and light. The actor, currently gearing up for his upcoming film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” shared that he finds strength and inspiration by listening to Lord Shiva’s songs daily before his workouts.

Speaking about the divine connection, Akshay recounted the blessings he received when OMG2 came into his life at a crucial moment, offering him strength and consolation. The 56-year-old actor expressed confidence that Lord Shiva would script the next chapter of his life, especially considering the challenges he faced while shooting for his latest movie.

When asked about attending Mahashivratri celebrations, Kumar revealed that he hasn’t had the opportunity yet but expressed his desire to do so. Recalling his birthday celebration at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain last year, he described the experience of witnessing the Bhasma aarti as truly divine, capturing Mahadev’s captivating ambiance.

Sharing a lesser-known fact about himself, Akshay mentioned that he now concludes his posts and messages with “Kai Mahakaal,” a phrase he became familiar with during the filming of OMG2 in Ujjain. Explaining the sentiment behind it, he noted that the response “Jai Mahakaal” and “Har Har Mahadev” symbolizes the unity of everything with Mahadev.

When questioned about his animated performance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebration, Akshay chuckled, revealing it took place at three in the morning—an early schedule aligning with his routine.
