In acknowledging the challenges of bowling 30–40 overs in a day, Cheteshwar Pujara highlighted Ravichandran R. Ashwin exceptional fitness, deeming him one of the fittest cricketers he has ever seen.

As Ashwin approaches his 100th test in the series finale against England in Dharamshala, Pujara emphasized the critical role of bowling fitness in the longer format.
