The Haj Suvidha App was recently launched by Union Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani, marking a significant step in enhancing the pilgrimage experience for Haj attendees.
This mobile application, developed by BISAG-N under the guidance of the Union Minister for Minority Affairs, aims to provide crucial information and direct access to essential services such as education modules, flight details, accommodation, emergency helpline, and health services.

Smriti Irani inaugurated a 1-day Training of Trainers Programme.
During the inauguration of the 1-day Training of Trainers Programme for the preparations of Haj 2024, Smriti Irani highlighted the importance of educating those involved in assisting Haj pilgrims. The program aims to equip trainers from over 550 parties across various Union Territories and States with the knowledge necessary to ensure a satisfactory and informed experience for the pilgrims.

The Haj Suvidha App is seen as a “game-changer” in pilgrimage experiences, leveraging online and mobile technologies to simplify the process for pilgrims. It allows them to focus more on their spiritual journey by addressing common issues related to travel, baggage, and documentation. The app covers diverse aspects, providing a one-stop solution for the pilgrims, especially those undertaking the Haj for the first time.
User Experience of the Haj Suvidha App
To complement the app, Irani also released the Haj Guide 2024,Smriti Irani available in 10 languages, to inform pilgrims about every aspect of the pilgrimage and emphasize the use of the app.
What did the Union Minister say?
In her address, the Union Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to make the Haj pilgrimage transparent, uniform, cost-effective, safe, and spiritually fulfilling. She emphasized the increased participation of women under the Mehram category, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive Haj practices.
