The owner of a paint factory in Delhi market fire tragedy , Alipur, is facing a police complaint after a tragic incident on Thursday night claimed the lives of 11 people and left 4 others injured. The factory, owned by Akhil Jain, a resident of Haryana’s Sonipat, caught fire around 05:30 pm, leading to a case being registered under IPC sections 304 and 308 against him.
When the Delhi Fire Incident occurs
The fire not only engulfed the paint factory but also spread to nearby homes and a ‘Nasha Mukti Kendra,’ trapping 4-5 people inside. Among the injured is Constable Karamveer from Alipur police station, who was involved in the rescue operation.
Who Trapped in Delhi’s Fire
Karamveer has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, while the other three injured individuals have been referred to LNJP hospital. Unfortunately, a total of 11 bodies, including 10 men and one woman, have been recovered from the paint factory.

The bodies are being sent to BJRM hospital, and rescue operations are ongoing. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Although charges of culpable homicide have been filed against the factory owner, he has not been arrested. The factory, situated on a 600-yard plot, was divided among Mohammad Rahim’s sons – Rehan, Shan-e-Lahi, and Imran. The current plot housing the factory is in Rehan’s name.
Factory Owner Charged with Culpable Homicide
In another tragic incident, a bag factory in Delhi witnessed a fire around 5 am due to a short circuit, resulting in the death of at least 43 people, most of them reportedly children aged 14 to 20. Over a dozen others were injured, with more than 63 people rescued and shifted to hospitals. The victims were workers from Bihar and neighboring states who were sleeping in the factory when the fire broke out.
