Sarfira: remake Hindi dari Soorarai Pottru karya Akshay.

The upcoming Hindi film, a remake of the popular Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru starring Akshay Kumar, has been officially titled “Sarfira,” with a scheduled release date of July 12, 2024. Akshay Kumar shared a teaser on Instagram, expressing the film’s theme of dreaming big and challenging societal norms.

“Sarfira” is set in the startup and aviation world, promising to inspire audiences to pursue their passions, even if deemed crazy by others. Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi crafted the script, with dialogue by Pooja Tolan. Suriya, who played the lead in Soorarai Pottru, will make a cameo appearance in Sarfira. Additionally, Suriya will be seen alongside Tiger Shroff in the action movie “Badee Miyaan Chotte Miyaan,” scheduled for an Eid 2024 release.

Directed by national award winner Sudha Kongara, known for her work in Soorarai Pottru, Irudhi Suttru, and Saala Khadoos, Sarfira marks Akshay Kumar’s return to the social drama genre. The film is produced by Aruna Bhattia (Cape of Good Film), Suriya and Jyotika (2 D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment).

Sarfira’s narrative revolves around an underdog challenging the socioeconomic structure ingrained in caste, class, and power relations. The film aims to showcase the resilience, determination, and jugaad (innovative problem-solving) of the protagonist. With music by G.V. Parkash Kumar, Sarfira is anticipated to be a captivating tale that encourages individuals to dream big despite societal judgments. The film is set to hit theaters on July 12, 2024.
