On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Rozgar Mela that his administration has created 1.5 times more jobs in the past decade compared to the previous government. Speaking during a Rozgar Mela program through a video conference, he distributed recruitment letters for government jobs to over a lakh young individuals. Criticizing the previous government for prolonged recruitment processes and the resulting corruption, Prime Minister Modi highlighted his government’s commitment to transparency and timely hiring.

According to the Prime Minister, his initiatives, such as the installation of rooftop solar power in one crore homes and substantial infrastructure investments, have significantly increased job opportunities. Modi emphasized the role of India as the third-largest startup ecosystem with over 1.25 lakh startups, generating jobs even in smaller cities. The government is allocating a Rs 1 lakh crore fund for research and innovation and providing tax rebates to startups.
Congratulating the one lakh recruiters and their families, Modi acknowledged the issue of bribery due to delays in job appointments in the past but assured that his administration has made the process transparent and efficient. He highlighted the ambitious plan for one crore rooftop solar plants, which is expected to reduce power bills, create job opportunities, and enable families to earn money by supplying power to the grid.
Addressing the transformation of the transportation sector, Modi mentioned significant changes in trains, the primary mode of transportation for the public, which will undergo a complete overhaul in the next ten years. Additionally, he announced the expansion of the paramilitary forces examination to thirteen languages from January 1, beyond Hindi and English.
The government stated that various ministries and departments, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Rozgar Mela Department of Higher Education, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Defense, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Ministry of Railways, will be recruiting to support these initiatives at both the central and state levels.
