An official has confirmed that Delhi Public School in the RK Puram area of the nation’s capital received a bomb threat on Friday.
Following the threat, the school underwent a swift evacuation, and a search operation commenced with the aid of sniffer dogs and bomb squad members, according to the official. Simultaneously, a video captured students leaving the premises in an orderly manner.

A senior officer’s statement read: “Police teams are conducting search operations, and further details will be provided upon completion of the operation.”
Last September, Delhi Police School in RK Puram faced a bomb threat via email, prompting a quick response from the administration and subsequent evacuation. No explosive devices were found, and the investigation continued, with the police tracking the sender’s IP address.
In a similar incident, an email claiming a bomb threat at RK Puram’s Lal Bahadur Shastri School was later confirmed to be fake. Another bomb threat email targeted Delhi Public School on Mathura Road in May, while the Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received two bomb threats in April 2023, both revealed to be hoaxes.
In response to the latest false bomb threat, the police have launched a search operation to apprehend those responsible. Despite two hours of investigation, nothing suspicious has been detected, emphasizing the priority placed on the safety of students and staff.
The police deemed the recent email threat invalid after finding it originated from a student’s email during further investigation. A similar incident occurred at the Indian School in Sadiq Nagar a year earlier.
