2 min readAhead of the scheduled consecration ceremony for the Ram Mandir. in Ayodhya on January 22, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has issued orders for the closure of liquor stores and educational institutions in the region. A “no-liquor” zone will be established for the 84-Kosi Parikrama near the temple grounds, and meat stores in Lucknow are also closed on the day of the ceremony.

The All India Jamiatul Quresh, a Muslim organization, has declared the closure of all meat stores in Lucknow on January 22. Meat vendors in specific regions, including Bilochoura, Sadar Cantt, Fatehganj, and Latouche Road, will cease operations during this time.
In addition, the governments of Assam and Chhattisgarh have decided to designate January 22 as a dry day. The consecration ceremony, where Lord Ram’s sacred seating will take place, is scheduled for January 22, 2024, during the Mrigasira Nakshatra from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. The Bharatiya Janata Party announced the live broadcast of the ceremony at booth levels across the country, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation on this auspicious occasion.
Vedic ceremonies for Lord Ram’s pran-pratishtha (consecration) will commence on January 16 and continue throughout the week. Invitation cards for the ceremony will be personally delivered to visitors by volunteers and representatives of the temple trust, as well as by the Shri Ram Jnaambhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and their allies. Some attendees have already received their invitation cards.

Excitement is building among Lord Ram’s followers for the opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The first eight-by-twelve-feet magnificent golden door has been installed on the upper level of the sanctum sanctorum. The grand temple is expected to have a total of 46 doors, with 42 plated in gold. The temple is scheduled to open to visitors on January 22, and an additional thirteen golden doors will be added over the next three days.
