The Mahamandir, named Swarved Mahamandir, adorned with verses from the Swarveda, was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in the Umarah area of Varanasi. This magnificent seven-floor temple, a blend of contemporary technology and traditional craftsmanship, showcases the integration of spiritual wisdom and architectural grandeur.

During the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Modi, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, explored the meditation center within the temple premises, capable of accommodating an impressive 20,000 visitors simultaneously. The temple stands as a testament to the seamless coexistence of modern technology and age-old handicrafts.

In addition to the Swarved Mahamandir, the construction of the Lord Shri Ram Janamashtami Temple is underway, using imported stones from various regions of Rajasthan. The wooden craftsmanship within the Mahamandir, crafted from Gujarati Balsari teak, adds to the temple’s aesthetic appeal.

Prime Minister Modi also participated in the centennial celebration of Vihangam Yoga, commemorating the 100th birthday of Sadguru Safadal Deoji Maharaj. The Maha Mandir houses the idol of this revered 19th-century mystic poet, seer, and spiritual guide who established Vihangam Yog Sansthan.

3. Founders: Sant Pravar Vigyan Dev and Sadguru Acharya Swantantra Dev founded the Mahamandir in 2004, with the collaborative efforts of fifteen engineers and six hundred laborers.
