The killing of Gogamedi on Tuesday prompted the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena and other community groups to stage a protest, urging for a state-wide shutdown on Wednesday. The community demanded a court investigation into the circumstances surrounding Gogamedi’s death, as seen in a video posted by a news agency capturing members sitting in protest in Jaipur.

In response to the murder, BJP MLA Diya Kumari expressed shock, emphasizing that Gogamedi had sought security which the administration failed to provide. The police have identified two suspects involved in the shooting. Rohit Rathore from Makrana Nagaur and Nitin Fouji from Mahendragath, Haryana, were named as the first and second accused, respectively. The attackers were caught on camera firing at Gogamedi in his living room before fleeing the scene.
Authorities revealed that Governor Kalraj Mishra has requested a report on the incident from the Director General of Police (DGP). The attackers, claiming to visit Gogamedi, shot one of his security guards during the confrontation.
