Bank State of India (SBI) said the digital service would remain affected for several hours due to maintenance work on June 17. The SBI digital banking platform, including Yono, Yono Lite, Internet Banking, and an Integrated Payment Interface (UPI), will remain affected between 12:30 and 2:30 a.m. on June 17 (Thursday).

“We ask our honorable customers to bear us because we strive to provide a better banking experience,” India’s top lenders tweeted.

SBI online banking services were also affected for four hours on June 13. Bank services such as Inb, Yono, Yono Lite, and UPI were also affected due to maintenance activities for several hours on May 21-23.

The biggest mobile banking application from the largest HDFC Lender Bank, which has been under the regulatory lens for network blackouts, fell for one hour on Tuesday due to an unspecified problem. The city based banks said the problem was faced for one hour in the morning on Tuesday and the same thing was completed in one hour. This urges customers to use net banking alternatives to transact in Interim.

With more than 22,000 branches and more than 57,889 ATMs across the country, SBI is the largest lender in India. It has 85 million internet banking and 19 million mobile banking users on December 31. SBI Yono has more than 34.5 million registered users. Yono watched 9 million logins per day, the previous lender was mentioned.

SBI has opened more than 1.5 million accounts through Yono in the quarter that ended December 2020 with almost 91% of bank savings customers who qualified Yono migrated to Yono.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the current pandemic situation, SBI offers loans for Covid-19 treatment with the lowest interest rate. SBI has launched collateral loan offers to those who have an account in one of the SBI branches and need money to meet medical expenses related to Covid-19 self-member treatment and family on or after April 1.

This loan is offered to people who are paid and not paid, and retirees. Thus, to get an approved amount of loan, one of SBI customers will be asked to submit a positive Covid report.
