Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a series of crucial development projects today, spanning Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.

His busy itinerary begins with a visit to Assam’s Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity. Following this, he will head to Itanagar to participate in the Viksit Bharat Viksit North East program, where he is set to unveil the UNNATI scheme, a significant Rs10,000 crore initiative, and officially open the Sela Tunnel.

Projects that will be launched today:

In a tribute to the legendary General Lachit Borphukan of the Ahom Kingdom in Assam, renowned for defeating the Mughals, PM Modi will reveal an imposing 84-foot-tall statue. The event in Jorhat will witness the dedication and opening of various infrastructure projects supporting housing, rail health, and the oil and gas industries.

Moving to Itanagar, the Prime Minister will announce a range of development initiatives covering Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. Assam These initiatives span diverse sectors, including oil and gas, power, IT, infrastructure, housing, health, and education. Additionally, projects valued at over Rs 41,000 crore will be dedicated and initiated in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Viksit Bharat Viksit West Bengal program in Siliguri will host PM Modi, where he will launch and dedicate projects in the road and rail sectors exceeding Rs 45,00 crore.

Lastly, in Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister is poised to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation for numerous development projects surpassing Rs 42,000 crore.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi visited Kaziranga National Park, praising its lush greenery and diverse flora and fauna, including the majestic one-horned rhinoceros. The morning also witnessed the inauguration ceremony for 5.5 lakh houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, costing Rs 8450 crore, in Jorhat, Assam.

The event included the unveiling of the statue of Lachit Borphukan, drawing women from across Jorhat to witness the historic moment. Assam Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for Sivasagar Medical College and officially opened the world’s longest twin-lane tunnel, the Sela Tunnel.
