The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning about the developing Western disturbance, projecting moderate snowfall and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall in the region.
Over the next five days, this disturbance is expected to bring about conditions leading to light rain in states like Assam and Meghalaya, as well as scattered snowfall and rainfall in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh.
Conversely, the southern terrain of Kerala and Rayalaseema is forecasted to experience hot and muggy weather, indicating a potential rise in temperatures. Additionally, rain is predicted in states such as Madhya Pradesh and its surrounding areas, as well as Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The South is poised to witness disparate weather conditions; Rayalaseema and Kerala, along with other southern regions, are anticipated to encounter hot and humid conditions in the coming days.
