Prime Minister Modi Unveils 'Modi Ka Pariwar' Initiative to Empower Families

The Modi ka Pariwar campaign was initiated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in response to a personal remark by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Yadav about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s family status. Lalu Yadav claimed that PM Modi had no family or children, prompting a swift response from the BJP.

Asserting that everyone in the nation is part of Modi’s family, the Prime Minister stated that he considers the entire nation as his family and has dedicated his life to helping the underprivileged. BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and JP Nadda, quickly adopted Modi ka Parivaar in their social media usernames to show solidarity.

This strategic move by the BJP is reminiscent of the 2019 general elections when Rahul Gandhi’s allegations about a scam in the Rafale fighter jet purchase led to the BJP’s effective use of the catchphrase “Modi Ka Pariwar” to counter criticism.

BJP leaders emphasized that personal insults against PM Modi have not been successful and have backfired on political opponents, citing instances from the past when the Congress faced repercussions for similar remarks. The BJP contends that insults targeting the Prime Minister personally only strengthen their position in politics.

Highlighting the dynastic nature of the RJD, a BJP leader pointed out that attacking the PM personally was ironic, given Lalu Prasad’s family-centric politics. The BJP has consistently opposed dynastic parties like the RJD, Samajwadi Party, and Congress since 2014, arguing that such family-led organizations contribute to corruption and a lack of internal party democracy.
