Government sources reveal that Viksit Bharat is the result of an extensive planning process involving over 27,000 meetings, workshops, and seminars conducted over two years to gather feedback from more than twenty lakh young people. The roadmap outlines India’s aspirations, goals, actions, and vision, covering areas like social welfare, infrastructure, economic growth, Sustainable Development Goals, and ease of living and doing business.

The primary objective of Viksit Bharat is to position India as a major economic force globally, focusing on sustainable development and improving the standard of living for all citizens. The plan provides specific tactics to address critical issues and seize opportunities in various industries.

Prime Minister Modi, during a 12-hour meeting with his Council of Ministers, discussed a vision document for Viksit Bharat 2047 and outlined plans for the NDA government’s potential return to power for a third term following the Lok Sabha Elections.

Prior to the meeting, he publicly declared a personal contribution of Rs. 2000 to the BJP as a party fund to support the Viksit Bharat initiative. In a tweet, he encouraged others to participate in nation-building by donating through the NaMoApp.
