MK Stalin's Minister Acknowledges Minor Error

MK Stalin Addressing a crowd in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Modi accused the DMK government of falsely taking credit for ISRO’s facility by incorporating a Chinese rocket image in a promotional advertisement. Anitha Radhakrishnan, a minister for Tamil Nadu and a DMK leader, acknowledged the error the day after Modi’s criticism, explaining that it was a mistake made by the advertisement designers.

Radhakrishnan clarified on Thursday that there was a minor error in a newspaper article about the rocket launch pad construction in Kulasekarapattinam. He admitted that the layout of the Chinese flag in the commercial welcoming Prime Minister Modi was an oversight by the designers.

During the Tirunelveli gathering, Modi had accused the DMK government of discrediting India’s industry and scientists with the misleading advertisement, stating that they had gone too far by pasting China’s sticker to claim credit for the ISRO launch pad.

Modi emphasized that the MK Stalin, a party known for claiming credit without substantial contributions, insulted Indian scientists, space industry, and taxpayers by not showcasing India’s space success. He urged accountability for the DMK’s actions, alleging that they were unwilling to acknowledge India’s advancements in space technology.

Responding to Modi’s accusations, DMK MP Kanimozhi argued on Wednesday that India had not designated China as an enemy nation. She pointed to Modi’s invitation to Chinese leader Xi Jinping to visit India.

However, the advertisement presented by DMK Minister Anita Radhakrishnan in Tamil dailies was deemed evidence of the party’s alignment with China and disregard for the nation’s sovereignty. Radhakrishnan asserted that the MK Stalin, despite its anti-corruption stance, was desperately attempting to apply stickers since the announcement of ISRO’s second launch pad in Kulasekarapattinam.
