During the ongoing probe, the federal agency previously searched eight locations in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, recovering digital gadgets, PCs, property records, incriminating documents, and over Rs 21 lakh in cash. The case originated from a referral by the Satya Pal Malik against the then-chairman, MD, directors, and unidentified parties of private company CVPPPL. The allegations include the non-adherence to e-tendering guidelines in the awarding of civil works for the Kiru hydroelectric project.
The FIR reveals discrepancies in the tendering process, with the decision to re-tender through e-tendering not implemented despite being decided at the 47th board meeting of CVPPPL. Eventually, Patel Engineering Ltd was awarded the tender, as per the FIR.
