While inspecting arrangements for a potential visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath also made a visit to the Gyanvapi complex, known as “Vyas Tehkhana.” There, he offered prayers to the significant Nandi idol.
The Chief Minister paid his respects to the basement deities, praying for the well-being of the people. Following this, he sat in front of the basement and bowed to Nandi, all while conducting an evening meeting at the Circuit House to discuss various schemes.

During the inspection of ongoing development works, the Chief Minister instructed that outstanding construction projects must be completed on schedule. He warned of legal action if deadlines and quality standards were not met.
After the Circuit House session, he proceeded to the Kashi temple dedicated to Kotwal Baba Kalbhairav, completing Baba Kalbharai’s Aarti before departing for Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. There, he performed Baba Vishwanath’s Shodashopachara puja, expressing his wishes for the welfare of the state’s citizens.
In the temple complex,Yogi Adityanath the Chief Minister inquired about the temple’s setup and ensured no difficulties for devotees seeking blessings. He directed a letter criticizing the executive engineer of the PWD building section and instructed VDA to hand over designs promptly,
finishing the remaining work in Sarnath under the Pro-Poor Scheme by the first week of March. Expressing dissatisfaction with PWD’s road widening and repair delays, he mandated the completion of all six under-construction roads by the first week of March.
Meeting with BJP lawmakers and representatives at the Circuit House, the Chief Minister toured the Rs 475 crore Amul plant, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and instructing officials to prepare for Modi’s visit.
Religious ceremonies were held at the Gyanvapi premises on February 1st, following a Varanasi district court order, allowing priests and devotees to offer prayers before the idols in the cellar. Yogi Adityanath Devotees were subsequently granted access to the south cellar of the Gyanvapi complex.
