Suresh Raina’s family comprises his father Trilokchand Raina, mother Parvesh Raina, three older brothers – Dinesh Raina, Naresh Raina, and Mukesh Raina, and one elder sister, Renu Raina. He is the youngest among his five siblings. Raina married his childhood friend and banker, Priyanka Chaudhary, on April 3, 2015.

Suresh Raina breakthrough came when selectors noticed his exceptional performances in age-group cricket. He earned a spot in the Uttar Pradesh Ranji Trophy team at the age of 16, showcasing his versatility as a batsman and a handy bowler.

International Debut and Success:

In 2005, Raina made his debut for the Indian cricket team, marking the beginning of a remarkable international career. His aggressive batting style and fielding agility endeared him to fans. Raina’s ability to perform under pressure contributed significantly to India’s victories in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

After earning a Border-Gavaskar scholarship, Raina trained at the Australian Cricket Academy, solidifying his skills. He made his international debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka but faced initial challenges, including being dismissed for a duck by legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. Raina waited five years to play a Test match but played a crucial role in India’s ODI success from 2008 to 2011.
