In the lead-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Jayant Chaudhary  there are speculations about the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) collaborating with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), potentially dealing a setback to the I.N.D.I.A bloc, as per insider information.

Reports suggest that Jayant Chaudhry, the leader of RLD, held discussions with BJP leaders and received an offer for at least four seats in Western Uttar Pradesh. This move is expected to result in a division between the RLD and the Samajwadi Party (SP), with the RLD aligning with the BJP, posing a challenge to the RLD-SP alliance.

2024 ok Sabha Elections

Sources reveal that the SP has directed its candidates to contest on the RLD’s symbol in Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, and Bijnor. While the RLD has approved this arrangement for Kairana and Bijnor, there is disagreement regarding Muzaffarnagar. Jayant Chaudhary The RLD has firmly maintained its position, providing significant justifications for its reluctance to accept the arrangement in Muzaffarnagar.

It’s noteworthy that in the previous election, Dr. Sanjeev Baliyan of the BJP narrowly defeated Chaudhary Ajit Singh of the RLD in Muzaffarnagar by 6,500 votes. Additionally, two out of the five assembly seats in the Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency are currently held by the RLD.

Looking ahead to the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, it is anticipated that the RLD will contest for seven or eight seats, primarily in western Uttar Pradesh. This development follows a meeting between Akhilesh Yadav and Jayant Chaudhary.

Akhilesh Yadav, in an exclusive interview, expressed optimism about opposition parties uniting under the INDIA bloc, expecting a rise in their vote share. He stated that discussions on seat sharing in Uttar Pradesh are ongoing and should be finalized soon. With less than a hundred days remaining before the elections, Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the urgency, stating his intention to visit the INDIA bloc only after the seat-sharing arrangements in UP are settled.

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra, Akhilesh Yadav remarked that each party is free to organize such journeys. The outcome of the elections in Uttar Pradesh, where 80 MPs will be elected, will play a crucial role in determining the next prime minister.
