At 11 a.m. today, the state assembly is set to conduct a crucial vote regarding the leadership of Champai Soren. Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren will undergo a floor test at the same time to showcase his majority in the assembly.
This comes in the aftermath of Hemant Soren’s resignation and subsequent arrest by the Enforcement Directorate last week, leading to Champai Soren assuming the top position.
On Sunday night, the ruling JKK-led alliance brought back its leaders to Ranchi after strategically placing its MLAs in a Hyderabad resort to prevent any attempts of poaching. The BJP criticizes the coalition’s actions, interpreting them as a sign of a lack of confidence.
