Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, and Jyothika are all set to star in Vikas Bahl’s upcoming horror film, “Shaitaan,” which appears to be centered around voodoo. The film’s producers unveiled its first look on Wednesday, and the major stars promoted the March 8 release by sharing the poster on Instagram. They also announced that the film’s teaser would be released tomorrow. (It’s worth noting that Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, and Jyotika previously collaborated on the highly recommended supernatural thriller “Shayaan.”)

While the filmmakers have kept the story under wraps, the actors have dropped hints about the narrative in their captions. In the revealed poster, Ajay and Jyotika share intense looks, while Madhavan sports a maniacal smirk. Ajay’s caption reads, “#Shaitaan is coming to cast a spell on you.”
Madhavan, with the caption “#Shaitaan nazar milata nahi – nazar lagata hai,” posted the picture on Instagram, suggesting a direct and impactful gaze from the devil. Jyotika warned, “Nothing can be done about #Shaitaan,” hinting at the possibility of a demon entering one’s space if not careful.
The creators added to the intrigue by unveiling a billboard featuring five voodoo dolls, hinting at the significant role dark magic will play in the film’s narrative.

Jyothika’s return to Hindi cinema after a substantial hiatus and Janki Bodiwala’s debut in Bollywood mark notable aspects of “Shaitaan.” The film is produced and presented by Jio Studios, Panorama Studios International, and Ajay Devgn Films. Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Jyoti Deshpande are also involved in the production.
Concerning the film
Ajay Devgn’s last film appearance was in 2023’s “Bholaa,” based on the Tamil film “Kaithi.” His upcoming projects include “Raid 2,” “Maidaan,” “Singham Again,” and “Auron Mei Kahan Dum Tha.” Madhavan is working on several projects, including an untitled Tamil film, “Test,” “Amriki Pandit,” and the critically acclaimed miniseries “The Railway Men.” Jyothika’s recent Malayalam film, “Kaathal—The Core,” received positive reviews, and she is also set to appear in “Sri” and “Dabba Cartel.”
As for “Shaitaan,” it is produced by Panorama Studios International, Jio Studios, and Ajay Devgn Films, with Janki Bodiwala making her Bollywood debut under the direction of Vikas Bahl. The previously released billboard featuring voodoo dolls suggests a captivating storyline involving black magic.

On January 23, 2024, the release date for Ajay Devgn’s next production, “Maidaan,” was announced. The film’s April Easter release will compete with Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar’s “Chote Miyan.” Ajay Devgn also shared that filming has commenced for “Raid 2,” with Riteish Deshmukh joining the cast. Additionally, Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again” is set to premiere on Independence Day.
