Khan Khajuria, the Hindi adaptation of the Israeli crime drama “Magpie,” is set to be available for streaming on SonyLiv soon. Produced by Yes Studios, known for backing Indian versions of Kvodo (Your Honor) and Fauda (Tanaav),
the cast was unveiled by SonyLiv on July 17 and features Mohit Raina, Roshan Mathews, Sarah Jane Dias, Mahesh Shetty, Ninad Kamat, Trinetra Halder, Heeba Shah, and Usha Nadkarni. Mohit Raina, discussing his role in the thriller, emphasized the challenges and excitement of being part of such a project, expressing the responsibility of portraying a character with many facets.

The show, directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ajai Rai, is granted permission by Yes Studios to be broadcast in its original format. Based on the Israeli series created by Omri Shenhar, Dana Eden, and Adam Bizanski, “Magpie,” which delves into shattered familial bonds, explores themes of betrayal, redemption, and human resilience. Mohit Raina, reflecting on the project, lauded the directors, cast, and creative teams involved, expressing satisfaction in contributing to the show’s legacy. Outside of his role in “Kan Khajuria,” Mohit Raina recently made headlines in Mumbai for filing a lawsuit against the actor and a few others.
Before the legal case gained attention, Mohit Raina, a 40-year-old actor hailing from Jammu, built a diverse career spanning television, Bollywood, and the internet. A graduate of the University of Jammu, he initially pursued modeling in Mumbai, making a mark by securing a top-five position in the 2005 Grasim Mister India competition. Khan Khajuria Mohit’s acting journey commenced with the science fiction series “Antariksh,” portraying a character reminiscent of a futuristic Ramayana.
However, it was his role as Lord Shiva in the television series “Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev” that brought him widespread recognition over three years, during which he portrayed more than thirty different roles.
