Biotech billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy announced his withdrawal from the 2024 Republican presidential campaign after a disappointing performance in the Iowa caucuses. Ramaswamy, who had previously praised former President Donald Trump as the greatest president of the twenty-first century, endorsed Trump and pledged his full support for Trump’s presidential bid.

During his own campaign, Ramaswamy had emulated Trump’s style, presenting himself as an articulate and charismatic nationalist. However, after the Iowa caucuses did not yield the desired results, Ramaswamy decided to halt his presidential campaign. He reached out to Trump to congratulate him on his performance and declared his intention to stand with Trump in a rally in New Hampshire to discuss their shared vision for the nation’s future.

Despite earlier criticism from Ramaswamy, particularly highlighting Trump’s legal issues and strong political opponents, the two seemed to have reconciled. Vivek Ramaswamy Trump, in response to Ramaswamy’s recent aggressive stance, had labeled his campaign as “very sly” and “deceitful,” but they now appear to be united in their efforts to ensure Trump’s victory in the upcoming presidential race.

In the wake of Trump’s low caucus victory, he strengthened his position in the Republican primary. Notably, Trump’s campaign spending was less than that of Ramaswamy’s, with Trump’s commercials on social media targeting low-income individuals costing around $44,000, slightly below Ramaswamy’s campaign expenditure of $45,000.

As Trump faces legal challenges, including a trial in New York where E. Jean Carrol is suing him for defamation, he continues his campaign, winning in Los Angeles and planning a visit to New Hampshire for a demonstration. Despite Trump juggling multiple legal issues, including being the first U.S. president to have his mugshot taken last year, he maintains a lead in the Republican primary.
