During a roadshow in Nashik, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in various religious and cultural activities. The roadshow kicked off at Hotel Mirchi Chowk, covering a distance of over two kilometers and lasting approximately 35 minutes.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by several BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and others. Thousands of people gathered along the route to welcome PM Modi, enjoying performances by various groups, including the renowned “Nashik Dhol” and tribal artists.

The roadshow concluded at Sant Janardan Swami Mharaj Chowk, where Modi proceeded to Ramkund on the banks of the Godavari River. There, he received a customary “pagdi” from Nashik Purohit Sangh president Satish Shukla and participated in “Jal Pujan” and Aarti performances.

The Prime Minister also met with notable personalities such as Tushar Bhosle of the BJP’s spiritual cell, Swami Samvidnanda Saraswati of Kailas Math in Nashik, and Annasaheb More, chief of Akhil Bharatiya Swami Samarth Gurukul Peeth. Subsequently, Modi visited the well-known Kalaram temple in the Panchvati region, dedicated to Lord Ram and historically associated with B.R. Ambedkar’s 1930 protest advocating for the entry of Dalits into the shrine.

This visit was part of PM Modi’s daylong trip to Maharashtra, during which he inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik and unveiled development initiatives in the state amounting to over Rs 30,000 crore.

Notably, he officially opened the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewee-Nhava Atal Setu Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) with a cost exceeding Rs 17,840 crore. Following the MTHL inauguration, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for an underground road tunnel connecting Mumbai’s Marine Drive to the Eastern Freeway’s Orange Gate.

Addressing a public gathering in Navi Mumbai, Modi emphasized that these projects showcased India’s infrastructure prowess and marked significant progress toward becoming a developed country. He expressed satisfaction in witnessing the realization of the country’s dreams over the past decade.
