The Oscar-winning composer has been assigned the task of composing the music, a revelation that delighted fans given the success of the soundtrack for Buchi’s debut film, “Uppena.” While details about the cast and crew remain undisclosed, Rahman’s inclusion adds a significant musical dimension. Rahman, known for his diverse repertoire spanning various languages, is rarely associated with Telugu projects that are dubbed in other Indian languages.
Before contributing to Telugu films like “Super Police,” “Gangmaster,” “Naani,” “Ye Maaya Chesave,” “Komaram Puli,” and “Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo,” Rahman had primarily worked on the background score for “Nippu Ravva” in the 1990s. This collaboration marks his “return” to Telugu cinema after a prolonged hiatus. Currently, Ram Charan is engrossed in the filming of “Game Changer,” Shankar’s inaugural Telugu venture, co-starring Kiara Advani. The film boasts a stellar supporting cast and is slated for release later this year, after which Ram Charan will transition to Buchi’s project.
Meanwhile, Rahman is set to feature in several Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Arabic films. Not only is he composing for Imtiaz Ali’s “Chamkila” and Mani Ratnam’s “Thug Life,” but he is also working on the music for Dhanush’s upcoming movie.
