Shankar Adhya. the leader of Trinamool Congress (TMC), found himself in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) due to his alleged involvement in a scheme related to the distribution of rations. While ED officials were en route to raid Shahajahan Sheikh’s home in connection with the alleged ration distribution fraud, they were reportedly ambushed by a mob claiming to be his followers in Sandhikali. The incident resulted in the vandalism of their vehicle, with the investigating agency stating that 800-1000 people participated in the attack with the intent to cause harm.
