In a tragic turn of events, the spotlight fell once again on Divya Pahuja, a model from Gurugram, who became a person of interest in the infamous Mumbai case involving an alleged false police encounter. The recent incident unfolded in a hotel where Divya Pahuja was brutally murdered by five assailants on Tuesday night.
Gurugram authorities swiftly intervened, detaining three individuals who were caught in the act of attempting to dispose of Pahuja’s body in a car. The model, who had been granted bail by the Bombay High Court in June of the previous year, was implicated in the murder of gangster Sandeep Gadoli back in 2016.

Pahuja, her mother, and five police officials were initially taken into custody in connection with Gadoli’s murder. The Mumbai police contended that Pahuja was used as a honey trap to lure Gadoli into a situation where he could be assassinated during a staged meeting. The alleged orchestrator, Binder Gujjar, purportedly conspired with Haryana police to carry out the killing.
Following her release on bail after a seven-year jail term, Pahuja applied for parole. Tragically, her life took another dark turn as she was found dead in a Gurugram hotel. Her sister, Naina, raised concerns with the police when attempts to contact Divya failed, suspecting a cover-up of her death.
The hotel owner, Abhijeet Singh, testified that Pahuja was last seen at his establishment. When the police arrived, bloodstains on the hotel stairs prompted an investigation. Security footage revealed two men carrying a motionless body towards the hotel’s entrance, later loading it into a blue BMW.
The police are currently probing the circumstances surrounding Pahuja’s death. The investigation indicates that Pahuja may have been attempting to blackmail Singh, who claimed she had access to his private photographs. Singh alleged that an altercation ensued during their meeting in his hotel room on Tuesday night, leading to him shooting Pahuja dead.
