Interestingly, chief ministers and governors are not included in the list of invitees. Instead, the focus is on leaders of national political parties. Heads of major temples, representatives of religious and constitutional institutions, as well as industrialists like Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani, are also among the invitees.
In a notable development, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, key figures in the Ram Mandir movement, have been invited by the Vishva Hindu Parishad. Despite being over 90 years old, they expressed their intention to attend if their health permits.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be present at the inauguration, which will be followed by a 48-day-long Mandal Puja starting from January 24. The public will have the opportunity to witness the darshan of Ram Lalla from January 23.
