Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
The summons requires Kejriwal to appear before the ED by December 21, related to an alleged money laundering case linked to the liquor policy. In response to the summons, Raghav Chadha, a prominent member of AAP, stated that Kejriwal had pre-scheduled a 10-day Vipassana meditation session starting Tuesday.

Arvind Kejriwal has been a dedicated practitioner of Vipassana, having attended sessions in various locations, including Bengaluru and Jaipur, in previous years. He remarked that if members of AAP were to join the BJP, they would be welcomed, indicating a political motive behind the summons. Notably, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, also from AAP, had been arrested earlier in connection with the same case, while Satyendar Jain is on interim bail until January 8, 2024.
This marks the second summons issued to Arvind Kejriwal by the ED, with the previous one scheduled for November 2. Kejriwal had skipped the earlier summons, alleging it was illegal and politically motivated. Additionally, he had been questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April concerning the Delhi liquor case.
