Who is Rohit Godara?
Rohit Godara, a resident of Lunakaran in Bikaner, is believed to be currently residing in Canada. Reports suggest that he has been involved in criminal activities at the behest of Lawrence Bishnoi, accumulating over 32 criminal cases registered against him at various police stations across the country. His criminal journey began at the age of 19, and he stands accused in significant cases, including the murder of rapper Sidhu Moose Wala and gangster Raju Thehat.
Entering the crime sector in 2010, Godara fled from Delhi to Dubai using a fake passport. His alleged criminal endeavors included running extortion rackets in Rajasthan, extracting substantial amounts ranging from ₹5 to ₹17 crore from businessmen.
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi: A Controversial Figure
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, formerly associated with Shri Rajput Karni Sena, gained prominence as the president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. Notably, he led protests against the film ‘Padmavat’ in 2018, following his expulsion from Shri Rajput Karni Sena in 2015 due to disagreements with its founder, Lokendra Singh Kalvi.
The Fatal Encounter
On the day of the incident, Gogamedi’s security team engaged in a gunfight with a group of attackers at around 12:30 pm. During the exchange, one assailant was neutralized, while the others managed to escape on a motorbike they forcibly took from outside Gogamedi’s residence.
According to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, the assailants gained access to Gogamedi’s house under the pretext of wanting to meet him, engaging in a brief conversation before opening fire.
