During the Animal promotional event in Hyderabad on Monday, the camaraderie between Mahesh Babu and Ranbir Kapoor was palpable. As the event unfolded, Mahesh, a special guest, showered praise on the film’s lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor. Holding the microphone, Mahesh expressed his admiration, proclaiming Ranbir as the “best actor in India.”
Casually attired in a blue T-shirt and jeans, Mahesh revealed his longstanding fandom for Ranbir. He recalled mentioning it to Ranbir when they first met, though he suspected Ranbir may not have taken it too seriously. Undeterred, Mahesh reiterated, “I think Ranbir Kapoor is the best actor in India, and I’m his biggest fan.” The entire cast of the movie gathered behind Ranbir, who, in response, giggled and seemed genuinely moved by Mahesh Babu’s words. Turning to Mahesh, Ranbir acknowledged, “You were the first outstanding star I ever met,” recalling a text message exchange after watching Okkadu. Expressing gratitude for Mahesh’s support, Ranbir shouted, “Jai Babu, Jai Babu.”

The audience reveled in this delightful exchange between the two actors. Mahesh’s accolades were hailed as perhaps the greatest compliment ever bestowed upon a Bollywood actor. To be a devoted follower of Ranbir Kapoor was likened to being in cinematic heaven, acknowledging him as the ultimate rockstar of Indian cinema. Not to be forgotten were the exceptional abilities of the revered Superstar.
In a touching moment, Ranbir paid his respects to director SS Rajamouli by touching his feet during the event. Rajamouli, in turn, declared Ranbir Kapoor as his favorite actor, confidently stating, “Without a doubt, my most favored actor is Ranbir Kapoor.” He playfully challenged Ranbir to choose between himself and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Directed by Vanga, “Animal” boasts a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor in prominent roles. At a recent promotional event, Ranbir shed light on the inspiration behind the film’s title, explaining that the erratic actions depicted in the movie led Vanga to name it “Animal.” The protagonist, driven by instinct to protect his family, acts impulsively, embodying the essence of the title.

The recently released official trailer, spanning three minutes and thirty-two seconds, evoked a passionate response from the audience. It hinted at Ranbir’s character’s aggressive demeanor rooted in childhood trauma. Devoted and fiercely protective of his father’s love, the character confronts anyone obstructing it. With a runtime of three hours and twenty-one minutes, “Animal” is set to hit theaters on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
