For a job seeker, there are thousands of organizations where he can apply. On the other side for a recruiter where he receives numerous applications for the concerned job it becomes difficult to go through the resume of each of them and call for an interview or further rounds of tests. In such situation, to eliminate the unwanted chunk of applications, one can go for some of the tests which can help him get applications of only those candidates who can be suitable for the job in the first round. Such tests can be an offline or online one.

The test:

Before going for the further rounds, a prudent recruiter may prefer to have a pre employment assessment of the concerned candidates so that load of the recruitment process for candidates who do not fit the positions available can be reduced. This test is time tested and approved by many experts as well as organizations and hence one of the most useful tools of the modern era recruiters. The test is prepared in the form of the objective as well as subjective questions to which the concerned candidate needs to respond. On the basis of his response, the checkers see if he can be sent to the further process of employment or not.

In the current era, private as well as public sector organizations focus on cost-cutting and a person who is a misfit to a concerned job may switch to another organization for a little period also. Such attrition of people prove much costly to the enterprise, and hence they prefer to know if the concerned person is able to handle the stress, workload, and efficient enough that can stay for a longer period or not. Hence this test is divided into various sections such as aptitude test, verbal, abstract and numerical tests. The concerned candidate has to answer the questions asked in the test within specified time.

The system:

This test is provided with various marks for each question and hence based on the responses submitted by the candidate, he secures some score. This helps him to know if the concerned candidate can secure required score or not. If he has desired score, he can be taken to the next round or further process, but in case of the undesired score, he can be removed from the list of the candidates. Hence as the recruiter can quantify the score, he can decide about the future of the candidate.

This test also helps the recruiter to know what will be the best place to appoint the concerned candidate according to the skills, interest, knowledge, and experience of the same. The online tests offer the result quickly while in the case of offline test it takes a little time for the recruiter to check the papers and disclose the result. Hence due to the speed of the test in the online method majority of the recruiters prefer that option only. The test result helps the company as well as the candidates to have long-term benefits of career and services.
