Magical orders, which can be said to be the answer of Netflix for the Harry Potter franchise, moves forward after facing problems throughout the pandemic. This is an overview of everything we know so far about the upcoming Netflix series, the magic sequence.
This series is referred to as a mixture between Sopranos and Harry Potter and that certainly survives. This event will take part in five magician families who vow to protect our world. The main family you follow along the comic is the moon stone.
This is the introduction of Mark Millar gave comics when it was first announced:
“We live in a world where we have never seen monsters, and the magic sequence is the reason we slept safely on our bed. Magic fulfills the mass in a magical order, as five magician families – swear to protect our world for several generations – must fight With enemies who pick them up one by one. During the day, they live between us as our neighbors, friends, and coworkers, but at night, they are wizards, witches, and magicians who protect us from the power of darkness … Except the darkness was the first time. “
Where is the magic order in production?
Before we enter where the magic sequence is in production today, we think we will take you through the entire timeline about how we arrive at this point.
Netflix first acquired Millarworld in August 2017 and announced a wave of his first title to get adaptation in July 2018. The months after Netflix announced that it bought Millarworld, it announced that magic orders would be a new comic published under Netflix.
Since then, we saw six problems released between June 2018 to February 2019 and was released as Volume 1 in April 2019. We then saw Magic Order 2 released between November 2021 and March 2022 with a full volume in May 2022. Millar had previously stated that there would be Five volume in total.
It was in May 2019 when Netflix first announced his intention to bring magic orders to the big screen in the form of the TV series. It announced the team and Millar said his intention to make filming was underway in 2021.
Of course, filming could not take place in 2021 due to global pandemics. Making film will take place in Prague, the Czech Republic.
It was October 2020 when the deadline reported that this series was removed (not only delayed). They record:
“The large scope of the project and global uncertainty in the middle of a pandemic is a factor in the decision not to advance with the series, even though it is not the main one,”
Since then, it’s all calm in the magical order. There was a smell back in development but no one was concrete.
We then got an update in May 2021 that the show was “back in active development” after its delay in 2020. Millar, in a blog post, said:
“I also enjoyed sharing that the magic order in the development was active after we delayed because of all the uncertainties last year. Some time has given us the opportunity to return by looking at completely new material, and we must immediately enter our new writer’s room. I made it into The live-action series, but when comic fans knew, I was also eager to do books. “
In March 2022, Millar previewed the plan for 2022 providing a very short update about magical orders and how we arrived at this point.
In the bulletin, he said:
“Covid attacked the same as we started producing this at first, but we all systems went now with a new team and a new schedule and this would be truly extraordinary, believe me. The first season will be the first volume and the opening scene that crawles you out so much is an opening scene for the show. “
Who / is there behind the magic order on Netflix?
James Wan and Lindsey Beer attached to projects on the early days when the executive manufacturer with WAN will also direct and beer to serve as an exhibition.
Olivia Cooke has been rumored to be playing the role of Cordelia Moonstone in the series. Peter Cameron and Joyce Sherrí have joined the writing team and André Øvredal is also expected to direct the episode.
As for who will be involved is now unclear. Lindsey Beer has been attached to other projects including a new pet film for the most important players. WAN continues to be involved with Netflix for Archive 81 (it is not clear whether it returns for season 2) and is also attached to approaching a dozen upcoming projects including 30 people, Nun 2, Knight Rider, and Salem.
We know that Mark Millar is still involved and registered as an executive producer in non-writing capacity.
