Lahore: A group of people in Pakistan spoiled four women, including a teenager, dragged and beaten after accusing them from “Shoplifting” in the province of Punjab in the region. The incident took place in Faisalabad, about 180 km from Lahore, on Monday.
The four women, including a teenager, were seen in a viral video that surrounded people around them to allow them to have a piece of cloth to cover after being stripped, but they were hit with sticks.
Women were crying out and requesting people to let them go, but in vain. They were nudely paraded in streets for one hour.
Pakistan Punjab police got into action after a couple of videos from the incident became viral on social networks.
“We have arrested five main culprits in this unfortunate incident,” said Punjab police spokesman on a tweet on Tuesday.
He said that the police are investigating the matter and all those involved in it will take justice.
A fir against five suspects and several others under the relevant provisions of the Law have been recorded.
According to the case, the victim said that they went to the Chaka Bawa market in Faisalabad to collect the residues.
“We were thirsty and we went inside the electric store of Usman and asked for a bottle of water. But his owner Saddam accused us of entering the store with the intention of stealing. The Chief of the Faisalabad police, Dr. Abid, Khan, said five main culprits, including Saddam, while incursions are taking place to arrest the defendant who is in the race.
