Puneet Singh Chandhok, Head of the World Forum India, who has played a role in facilitating the evacuation of Hindu minorities and Sikh Afghanistan, tweeted that gunmen had entered Gurdwara and “detrimental”.
A minority member of Sikh Afghanistan, Sardar Govind Singh, said in a video posted on social media that armed men had damaged most CCTV cameras in Gurdwara and opened several locked doors.
Some posts on social media say gunmen who enter Gurdwara are believed to be members of the Taliban.
There was no official word from India on the incident.
As soon as the Taliban marched to Kabul on August 15, hundreds of members of Sikh and Hindu minorities had sheltered on the Gurdwara Karte Parwan. The Taliban Commander has visited Gurdwara immediately after the takeover of the country and convinced Sikh leaders about the safety of community members.
However, nearly 240 Sikh and Hindu Afghanistan was prohibited from entering Kabul airport to ride the last military evacuation flight from the Afghan capital.
The Indian government has said it will take all steps to facilitate the evacuation of SIKH and Hindu Afghanistan who want to leave Afghanistan.
