2 min readIn a massive rally in Covid-19 hit Alabama, former US President Donald Trump ripped his successor Joe Biden for Kabul Krisis, saying that the latest developments in Afghanistan were “big failure” from US foreign policy today.
Overcoming the ” Save America ‘rally in Cullman, Trump on Saturday said that the situation in Afghanistan would drop as “one of the biggest shame” and “the largest foreign policy insults” in US history, sputnik reported.
Trump’s rally came even though the Cullman City Council declared an emergency in the city due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
Trump accused US President Joe Biden to hand over US military bases in Afghanistan, emphasizing that American forces left military equipment worth $ 83 billion dollars.
“It will go down as one of the great military defeat of all time,” said Trump, summoned the withdrawal of “total submission” forces and “gross inability by the leader of a country,” Trump emphasizes that under his presidency, this will never happen.
The former president told a large crowd gathered in a dark red state that “this will never happen if I am the president.”
The US evacuated its citizens and Afghans who helped US troops in the past two decades from Afghanistan, which fell to the Taliban on August 15.
When Afghanistan fell into chaos, Biden was criticized because of a hasty withdrawal from a torn country, which caused the collapse of the country’s government.
Trump approved a full military withdrawal on May 1 this year. Biden administration has blamed Trump for the timeline which leads to a failed withdrawal. Biden extended the deadline until September 11 and then promised to have all US forces on August 31.
