From Renu Satti to Bhavesh Gupta: Meet the people likely to make it to Paytm’s DRHP
3 min readOne97 Communication, which owns and operates PayTM, has identified the main management personnel that tend to achieve the Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) design, according to privy sources for development.
The company, on July 12, received approval from its shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting to collect Rs 12,000 Crore through a new edition of shares, paving the way for one of the early Indian public offering (IPO) last time.
Paytm will submit a draft red Herring Prospectus with the Effects and Stock Exchange Indian (SEBI) immediately, the first step towards the public list.

Interestingly, this list includes people who have spent more than a decade with the company to the executive who joined Paytm almost three months ago.
Madhur Deora – Deora is the President and Chair of the Financial Officer. He joined Paytm in 2016 after serving more than 17 years at Citigroup Investment Banking as the Implementing Director. A Wharton school graduate, Deora played a key role in the Paytm IPO.
Vikas Garg – Garg is Chief Finance Officer. He joined Paytm in 2013 as the Deputy President of Finance and Rose was in the company’s CFO rank. He has more than 20 years of experience in the company’s finances. He has played a role in various fundraising initiatives from the group and established new businesses and mergers and acquisitions in addition to financial responsibility.
Renu Satti – Satti is the head of offline payment business such as paytm QR, smart android post and iot devices. He has been with Paytm for more than 14 years now. In 2017 he also made the Chief Executive Officer of Paytm’s Payments Bank for more than a year.
Bhavesh Gupta – Gupta is the head of a loan business, vertical which is very important for Paytm before the IPO because it has expanded its focus on the financial services segment. Banking veterans, Gupta comes with more than 24 years of industry experience where it leads businesses in ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank and Clix Capital. He joined the company only a year ago. Before this he served as Chief Executive Officer of Clix Capital for more than three years.
Praveen Sharma – Sharma is the head of online payment. He joined Paytm in 2019, after nine years with Google, where he played leadership roles throughout India and APAC. Leading Google, he held several senior level positions in several major advertising groups such as Madison and Group M.
Harinderal Singh Takhar – Takhar is the Chief Executive Officer of Paytm Labs and has been associated with him since June 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Delhi University and Master’s degree in InSEAD.
Sudhanshu Gupta – Gupta is the Chief Operating Officer of Paytm First Games. He has been with Paytm for more than 8 years now and leads vertical gaming in the company. Before this he worked with Flipkart and PepsiCo.
MANMEET DHODY – Dhody is a Chief Technology Officer payment in Paytm. Dhody joined Paytm in April, 2020 after several leadership roles in global companies such as Amazon and Microsoft.
Deepankar Sanwalka – Sanwalka is the president of compliance and operation. He has spent only three months with Paytm after joining in May. Before this, he was a leader of advisors for PWC India and members of the Indian PWC leadership team, the Global Consultative Leadership Team and Asia Pacific Americas (what). He is a rental accountant by profession with more than 30 years of experience as a business leader.
