‘L.A.’s Finest’ Won’t Be Coming Back for Season 3 on Netflix
2 min readIf you have hijacked your trip through the best 2 seasons on Netflix and search for seasons 3, we have disappointing news. There will be no third season L.A. The best and unless the miracle happens, it is impossible for Netflix will be able to turn it back on one season 3. This is what you need to know.
Catch-up Quick – L.A. The best is a spin-off to the Sony Bad Boys universe where we follow Syd (played by Gabrielle Union) and Nancy McKenna (played by Jessica Alba) who was against the streets of Los Angeles full of drugs.
Only Netflix Canada and Netflix have received L.A. Best so far even though we have been told Netflix England and many others might get a draw from July 2021.
The US Netflix received season 1 in January 2021 while the second season was added six months later in June 2021.
So to cover is why we won’t get season 3, let’s quickly recap how the show is released.
The second season was first released on the spectrum (which has mostly moved from the original programming in recent years). The second season has a very scattered release given that it was delayed considering the 2020 incident revolved around police violence. In the end, among the original spectrum that did not get traction and the problem surrounding the topic of the event, the event was canceled in October 2020.
Can Netflix revive L.A. the best?
The answer is they can but it’s not that simple or very possible.
Netflix has been rumored to be reviving a number of Sony Television Pictures titles over the past few years whether Hannibal (which eventually left Netflix killed the possibility of returning) or the community. The main reason Netflix gets a show like L.A.S best is that Sony is one of the few distributors who keep the license show but we digress.
Reviving a show not only requires a lot of capital to solve it but many stars to harmonize and with the best actor, get Gabrielle Union (who is working on many projects including cheaper by dozen for Disney +) and Jessica Alba (which is currently working on Disney The trigger for the warning for Netflix) is back together when the running out of contract may be difficult.
There is a precedent for it, the season 1 show does do it well in the top 10 but for now, it’s impossible.
